Dry Brushing
A Simple Ritual for Glowing, Energized Skin
A few minutes before your shower can completely shift how your skin looks—and how your body feels.
Dry brushing is one of the simplest rituals with surprisingly visible results.
What It Is
Dry brushing uses a firm, natural bristle brush on dry skin to gently exfoliate while stimulating the body through light, intentional movement.
Why It Works
With consistent use, this ritual can:
Boost circulation and bring warmth to the skin
Support lymphatic movement
Sweep away dry, dull surface cells
Improve texture and softness
Create a subtle, energizing effect throughout the body
How To Dry Brush
Begin with completely dry skin before showering.
Starting at your feet, use light, upward strokes toward the heart.
Move in long, fluid motions along the limbs, and softer circular motions around joints.
Continue gradually upward—legs, torso, arms—keeping the pressure gentle and steady.
Avoid sensitive areas or any broken skin.
Spend 3–5 minutes, then rinse in a warm shower and follow with a body oil or moisturizer while your skin is still slightly damp.\
Make It a Ritual
Unrushed. Intentional. Repetitive.
The movement is simple—but the effect is immediate.
Circulation rises, skin awakens, and your body shifts out of stillness.
A few minutes is all it takes to feel the difference.
The Brush Matters
The type of brush you use changes both the experience and the results.
Plant-based bristles (like agave or tampico) are the most effective for dry brushing—they provide the right level of firmness to exfoliate and stimulate the skin without feeling harsh.
Boar bristles offer a slightly softer, more flexible feel, while very soft brushes (like horsehair) are best suited for sensitive areas or first-time use.
If the brush is too soft, you lose the benefit. If it’s too stiff, it becomes uncomfortable.
The goal is simple: firm, smooth, and consistent across the skin.
“Small rituals, done consistently, create lasting change.”
